Teltronic Tech powers Ho Chi Minh City metro

Teltronic’s TETRA critical communications technology is now in operation on Ho Chi Minh City’s first metro line, enhancing the reliability and safety of daily rail services.

As technology provider for main contractor Hitachi Rail, Teltronic designed, supplied, and implemented a comprehensive TETRA-based solution, including network infrastructure along the 19.7 km route, onboard equipment for 17 trains, portable and fixed terminals for staff, and control centre systems with six operator workstations.

The system integrates with other key subsystems such as Public Address, intercom, and Train Control & Management System (TCMS), supporting both underground and elevated sections from Ben Thanh to Suoi Tien.

“We are very proud to have contributed to the success of this historic project for Ho Chi Minh City. Our technology ensures secure, reliable, and efficient communications, which are essential for the daily operation of the railway system,” said Felipe Sanjuan, Transport Business Development Director at Teltronic.

With this project, Teltronic strengthens its position in Asia as a leading provider of communication solutions for mass transit.
