Teleste to modernize passenger information displays across the SNCF network

SNCF has selected Teleste as the supplier for a major program to modernize passenger information displays in French train stations. The four-year framework agreement covers the delivery of a new generation of outdoor TFT LCD screens for use on the national rail network.

The French rail network is one of the most extensive and busiest in Europe, serving millions of passengers annually at thousands of stations. The modernization program represents a major investment in communications infrastructure, with the aim of improving the passenger experience and operational efficiency at stations.

Digital displays adapted to outdoor environments

The SNCF program aims to replace and modernize passenger information systems, with a focus on reliability, readability, and digital integration.

The new outdoor TFT LCD displays supplied by Teleste are designed to ensure optimal visibility in all weather and lighting conditions, both day and night.

The solution enables real-time traffic information to be displayed and helps streamline station operations, while offering a simplified, robust and cost-effective architecture.

“The intelligent design of Teleste displays, based on a simplified and robust architecture, is ideal for large-scale projects and challenging outdoor environments. We are honored to be selected as a trusted partner by one of Europe’s leading rail operators,” said Claudio Borrello, Business Director Display Solutions at Teleste.

Integration with SNCF’s existing systems

According to the company, the new displays will be seamlessly integrated into SNCF’s existing IT infrastructure, facilitating information flow and simplifying maintenance activities.

This approach aims to reduce downtime and maximize long-term return on investment.
