Tallinn-Moscow train to start operating again

tallinnThe Moscow-Tallinn passenger train that stopped operating in May 2015 will start operating again on 10 July 2015, but this time the line goes through St. Petersburg, The Baltic Course writes.
Although the departure times of the trains are allegedly already in place, Estonian Railways and Russian Railways are still negotiating the details of the route. “We are waiting for the final telegrams from Moscow to publish a press release on the basis of these,” said Estonian Railways Communications Manager Liina Hallik.
According to preliminary data, in Estonia, the train will be received and tickets sold by GoRail; the train itself belongs to the Russian Railways’ subsidiary FPK. “GoRail will provide locomotive service in Estonia. We also sell tickets, but the ticket price details are yet to be specified,” said GoRail Manager Alar Pinsel.
GoRail, which used to operate the Tallinn-Moscow and Tallinn-St Petersburg routes till May, is not the operator of the new train but provides services bought by the state-owned Estonian Railways via procurement.
