Tver Carriage Works and Sverdlovsk Suburban Company signed a contract for the supply of three passenger cars of 61-4458 and 61-4458.14 type. The new vehicles will enter services on the Kut-Yakh – Surgut – Nizhnevartovsk commuter line on the Sverdlovsk Railway network.
The Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug – Yugra is supporting the implementation of the project.
The new cars will have more space for passengers, having a capacity for 60 standard seats, fitted with audio modules and sockets. The cars will be equipped with air conditioning systems and passenger information systems.
The third car, with a capacity of 46 seats, is equipped with special places for disabled passengers, including a lifting device.
In 2018, Sverdlovsk Suburban Company ordered 8 passeger cars which are operating on the Tyumen – Tobolsk commuter route.
