Singapore’s Land Transport Authority (LTA) and SMRT have successfully completed the installation of new Integrated Supervisory Control System (ISCS) for the Circle Line (CCL) in preparation for the opening of Circle Line Stage 6 (CCL6), in the first half of 2026.

The installation of the ISCS has been completed in July, after six years of works. The ISCS is one of the core systems of the CCL that monitors and manages power supply, communications and station facilities across the line. The existing ISCS system had to be replaced to bring it up to date with the systems that will be used for Circle Line Stage 6 (CCL6).
LTA and SMRT are now moving into the next phase of works to carry out systems integration testing across the entire CCL. This testing ensures reliable service can be delivered after CCL6 is completed.
During this phase, longer blocks of engineering hours are needed for the integration and compatibility testing to be carried out safely and rigorously. To provide these longer engineering hours and facilitate works, train services on the CCL will need to be adjusted from 5 September to 28 December 2025.
The CCL6 will close the loop of the CCL by connecting the HarbourFront and Marina Bay stations via three new stations. When the CCL6 opens, commuters can enjoy travel time savings of up to 10 minutes, with the closed loop providing a new viable route that is faster and more direct to and through the Marina Bay area.
The Circle Line 6 (CCL6) extension will add three stations between HarbourFront and Marina Bay MRT. The 4 km extension will add three stations: Keppel, Cantonment and Prince Edward Road.
The completed CCL will link to all existing train lines and shorten travel time, while also giving commuters more alternative routes that bypass the busy interchanges at City Hall and Raffles Place.
This will bring the total number of CCL stations to 33, including 12 interchange stations that connect to other rail lines.
