STV signs new contract for California High-Speed Rail Program

californiaCalifornia High-Speed Rail Authority selected STV to prepare environmental and engineering documents for the Burbank to Los Angeles and Los Angeles to Anaheim project sections, as part of the California High-Speed program. These segments include future high-speed rail stations at Union Station in Los Angeles and the Anaheim Regional Intermodal Transportation Center in Anaheim.
The corridor between Burbank and Anaheim is not lengthy in terms of mileage, but it is in one of the densest parts of the state, according to Tyler Bonstead, AICP, planning task manager on the current STV contract with the Authority.
The California high-speed railway project will be implemented in more phases, and in the first phase the line will connect San Francisco to Los Angeles/Anaheim through the Central Valley. The system will eventually connect to Sacramento and San Diego through the Inland Empire.
