Stadler Polska has reached a major milestone at TRAKO 2025, celebrating the production of its 1,000th rail vehicle at the company’s Siedlce facility. The jubilee train, a five-car next-generation FLIRT, will join the fleet of Koleje Mazowieckie and is the first unit from a new order placed in 2024.

Under the current contracts, Stadler Polska will deliver up to 75 new trains for the operator, supporting regional services across Mazovia.
Stadler Polska: 18 years of operations at the Siedlce plant
The achievement marks the symbolic conclusion of 18 years of operations at the Siedlce plant, which began production in 2006. Fittingly, the first and 1,000th vehicles both carry Koleje Mazowieckie livery.
“Producing the 1,000th vehicle at our Siedlce plant is a great achievement of which we are extremely proud,” said Radosław Banach, CEO of Stadler Polska. “By focusing on innovation, quality and local commitment, we have earned the trust of customers across Europe.”
Since its foundation, the plant has grown into a strategic hub for Stadler, with more than 1,500 employees today. Continuous investments have expanded production halls, introduced cutting-edge technologies, and built a robust network of Polish suppliers.
European reach
Vehicles built in Siedlce operate in 18 countries, from Poland and Germany to Norway, the UK, Italy and Spain. In total, 237 units have entered service on the domestic market, while many more have been exported.
“This success would not have been possible without the dedication of our employees,” Banach added. “I also thank our customers and partners for their trust, in particular Koleje Mazowieckie, with whom our journey in Poland began and with whom we celebrate today the 1,000th vehicle.”
Strengthening regional rail in Mazovia
Koleje Mazowieckie has been one of Stadler’s key Polish partners for nearly two decades. The operator’s first FLIRT units, delivered in 2006, remain in service today. Between 2020 and 2023, Stadler supplied 61 FLIRT trains to the company, with further deliveries now under way.
Adam Struzik, Marshal of the Mazovia Voivodeship, said: “The 1,000th vehicle produced at Stadler’s Siedlce plant, which will operate on Mazovian tracks, is a perfect summary of our long-standing and fruitful cooperation. Currently, Koleje Mazowieckie operates 71 Stadler vehicles, and in the coming years the fleet will increase by another 64 units.”
By the end of the current orders, Koleje Mazowieckie will operate 135 FLIRT trains, with an additional contract for 11 units under discussion.
Robert Stępień, CEO of Koleje Mazowieckie, welcomed the milestone: “I am extremely pleased that the 1,000th vehicle leaving the Siedlce factory will be operated by Koleje Mazowieckie. Stadler has been a key partner for us for years, providing vehicles with high reliability. Currently, FLIRT units make up more than one-fifth of our fleet. After the delivery of the next vehicles, this share will increase significantly.”
He added that producing all the vehicles in Mazovia strengthens the regional economy as well as the railway.
