SSL to deliver signalling system for Crossrail

alstomSignalling Solutions Ltd (SSL), Alstom’s signalling joint venture in the UK, has been awarded a contract worth EUR 54 million by Network Rail to deliver a signalling system for Crossrail East Anglia section.
The contract covers the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the signalling control system, using Alstom’s industry-leading Smartlock interlocking technology.
The work will cover the Pudding Mill Lane Junction on the Great Eastern Main Line in the east of London, through to Shenfield in Essex. The project is due for completion in August 2018.
SSL is a 50-50 joint venture company formed by Alstom Transport and Balfour Beatty Rail.
