Siemens rolls-out its 750th Vectron locomotive

Siemens Mobility has rolled-out the 750th Vectron locomotive from its Munich-Allach factory. This milestone its part of the orders of European Locomotive Leasing (ELL).
ELL is currently the biggest Vectron customer, as the entire fleet consists of Vectrons, with a total of 108 locomotives in service or on order.
With European Locomotive Leasing, in 2017, Siemens has celebrated the sell of its 500th Vectron locomotive, when the leasing company ordered 8 additional multisystem locomotives for České Dráhy.
The locomotives are certified for operation in Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Norway, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey.
Vectron is designed to meet any traction need efficiently and cost-effectively, offering technical flexibility and economic predictability over the long term. The locomotive is also being continually enhanced so that it’s always up-to-date.
It’s development is based on a large number of interviews with operators and on the experience of over 1,600 Eurosprinters and Eurorunners in service
Vectron has multiple traction capabilities that makes it compatible with many other locomotive types, it has multiple coupling options, and it guarantees absolute flexibility in European systems – thanks to its modular train protection concept.
