Shortlisted announced for Lakeshore East – West Corridor expansion

Five teams are prequalified to build and finance the Lakeshore East – West Corridor expansion project in Greater Toronto Area. A request for proposals is expected to be released in spring 2019.
The selection was based on bidders’ construction capability, experience, qualified personnel and financial capacity to deliver a project of this size and scope.

The selected teams are:
EllisDon Infrastructure Transit (EDIT): Applicant Lead and Financial Advisor – EllisDon Capital; Construction Team – EllisDon Civil Ltd.
Steelhead Constructors (SHC)
o Applicant Lead and construction team – Aecon Infrastructure Management Inc., and Dufferin Construction Company; Financial Advisor – The Bank of Nova Scotia
Graham Commuter Rail Solution (GCRS)
o Applicant Lead – Graham Capital Partners, and Graham Construction and Engineering; Construction Team – Graham Construction and Engineering; Financial Advisor – Graham Capital Partners LP
LS Constructors (LSC)
o Applicant Lead – Ledcor CMI Ltd., and Sacyr Construccion S.A; both companies, together with Soncin Construction Ltd form the construction team; Financial Advisor – PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
Lakeshore Rail Construction Partners (LRCP)
o Applicant Lead and construction team – Brennan Infrastructures Inc., and Bot Infrastructures Ltd; Financial Advisor – Stonebridge Financial Corporation.

Lakeshore East – West Corridor expansion project envisages infrastructure upgrades, such as the construction of third track infrastructure that will help to accommodate increased capacity on the Lakeshore East line as part of the planned expansion of GO Transit rail service. The project includes the construction of a forth track on the south side between the Don River Bridge and Gerrard Street shifting to the north side between Pape Avenue and Scarborough GO Station, widening of bridges at Woodbine Avenue, Warden Avenue and Danforth Avenue, new station building and platform changes at Danforth GO Station and three culvert extensions.
