A delegation from Serbia participated in a training program in China on the operation and maintenance of the Serbia–Hungary high-speed rail line. The program included theoretical courses, hands-on training on simulators, and technical visits to Beijing, Jinan, and Shanghai.
A delegation from Serbia participated in a training program in China dedicated to the operation and maintenance of the high-speed rail line Serbia–Hungary.
The delegation included representatives from Serbian Railway Infrastructure, the Ministry of Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure, the Railway Directorate, the CCCC and CRIC consortium, as well as the company EGIS.
The visit to China took place from May 5–23, and the training program itself was held from May 7 to 21. It was organized by Beijing Jiaotong University, in collaboration with Chinese authorities, and included activities in Beijing, Jinan, and Shanghai.
Theoretical Courses in Beijing
The first part of the training took place in Beijing at the School of Traffic and Transportation, where participants completed an extensive theoretical component.
Topics covered included the history of the Chinese railway system, its development and reform, medium- and long-term planning, transportation equipment, track inspection and monitoring, as well as contact line maintenance technologies.
During this phase, delegation members also visited the museum dedicated to rail transport and mobility.
Hands-on Training on Simulators
The second part of the program took place in Jinan and included two technical visits to the Shandong Polytechnic University.
The practical component focused on railway infrastructure maintenance technologies, rolling stock systems, signaling and safety equipment, as well as the construction and maintenance of the contact line.
Participants worked individually, with the support of instructors and facilitators, on simulators for high-speed trains. They also solved signaling-related problems using specialized software.
Following this phase, the delegation visited a laboratory to test noise levels and the influence of wheel shape, tread, and flange on the noise produced by high-speed trains.
Visit to the Maglev Museum in Shanghai
Following the training in Jinan, the Serbian delegation traveled to Shanghai, where it visited a museum dedicated to railway development, as well as a museum devoted to Maglev trains.
The final part of the program took place again in Beijing and focused on railway traffic management technology, as well as the operation and maintenance of high-speed lines, with both theoretical and practical components.
The program also included a discussion on international staff training in the context of digitalization and the development of complex skills.
At the end, the participants from Serbia received certificates of completion for the training program.
