Serbia to acquire rail inspection vehicles from Russia

Serbian rail company Infrastruktura Zeleznice Srbije has signed a EUR 2.2 million agreement with Russian railway security systems developer Tvema for the delivery of multifunctional technical inspection rail vehicles. The vehicles will be delivered within 16 months. The financing for the project was provided by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The vehicles to be delivered to Infrastruktura Zeleznice Srbije represent a platform for track geometry measurement, ultrasonic and eddy-current testing (ECT), 3D laser scanning and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) surveys. Details on the number of vehicles to be delivered have not been reveiled.
