Saudi Railways opened passenger services at Hail station

The governor of Hail region (Saudi Arabia), Prince Abdul Aziz bin Saad bin Abdul Aziz, and the CEO of Saudi Railways Company, Bashar Al Malek, officially launched the rail passengers operation at Hail station.
“The launch of Hail operations was the second phase of expansions of the company’s passenger services, following last February’s launch of services between Riyadh, Majmaah and Qassim, part of SAR’s North Railway project,” the CEO of SAR said.
The length of the railway is about 1,250 km from Riyadh to Al-Qurayyat in the far north of the Kingdom. Six passenger stations are distributed along the line in Riyadh, Majmah, Qassim, Hail, Jouf, and Al-Qurayyat.
Starting 26 November, Saudi Railways Company begun passenger services to Hail railway station. Fares from Riyadh and Qassim from USD 32, and from Qassim to Hail from USD 15, with 60% discount available for advanced booking.
Country’s North-South Railway project envisages a 2,400 km line linking Riyadh in the northwest of the country, to Al Haditha, near the border with Jordan.
