Belvès General Council has asked the department authorities to pressure the National Commission for the Future of Territorial Balance Trains about the re-opening of the Bordeaux-Lyon railway. Some of its sections continue to be closed to traffic, due to the lack of funds for maintenance and investments. According to previous promises, the railway should be completely open to traffic as of this year.
