RegioJet starts summer ticket sales for train service to Croatia

RegioJetThe Czech railway private operator, RegioJet, has started the sales of tickets for its train service from the Czech Republic and Slovakia to Rijeka in Croatia during summer. The company says that more than 8,000 tickets have been sold by now.

The ticket prices are “exceptionally low” with a value of EUR 22 for a one-way ticket including reservation and all services. For a ticket to a couchette car, the price starts at EUR 30.

“Never before have ticket prices to Croatia been so cheap and travel as convenient as this year. We want our prices to be set so that after difficult times, everyone can afford a holiday trip to Croatia,” Ivana Kašická, RegioJet’s director, said.

Within the next days, RegioJet will also start sales of the tickets from Hungarian station of Csorna.

The ticket price includes seat reservation and on-board services that passengers receive during the trip, including free coffee and breakfast, internet connection or free entertainment portal and offer of other on-board services.

RegioJet trains will run starting June 30 until 26 September, three times a week from Prague, Pardubice, Brno, Břeclav, Bratislava and Csorna, in Hungary, departing from the Czech Republic/ Slovakia/Hungary on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. From Rijeka and Ljubljana, the train service will run on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Mondays.

Besides holiday trips for Czech, Slovak or Hungarian passengers to Croatia, the train is also perfect for holiday trips of Croatian and Slovene citizens to Prague, Brno or Bratislava. The train service can also be an accessible solution for Austrian passengers boarding the train in Bratislava, connecting with RegioJet buses from Vienna, or from Dresden area in Germany, connecting to the train service in Prague.

The train will run as a night service and passengers will be able to reserve a seat in three types of coaches.  For an Astra seat coach with individual screens in seats, as well as for a seat with compartments for groups, the ticket price starts from CZK 590 (EUR 22) per person.

At couchette, with bed compartments for groups and individuals, CKZ 790 (EUR 30) is the price for a ticket.

The train will have up to 12 cars with a capacity of 560 seats.

The train service also includes bus connections to about 30 destinations on the Croatian Riviera for a price of CZK 200 (EUR 7.5) or 300 (EUR 11.3) depending on the distance.
