Texas’ Port Freeport awards infrastructure contract

Primoris Services Corporation, through its unit Primoris Heavy Civil, was awarded a contract valued at over USD 21 million by Port Freeport in Freeport, Texas. The project is for the construction of a rail spur and track yard that includes 21,000 linear feet of track, associated paving, and drainage improvements.
The rail spur will tie into an existing Union Pacific line and service an ongoing expansion at Port Freeport. Work is scheduled to commence in the third quarter of 2017, and completion is expected in the second quarter of 2018.
