Philippine purchases new Indonesian DMUs

Philippine National Railways (PNR) and Indonesian PT Inka signed a EUR 38.5 million contract for the supply of seven two-type trains. Under the agreement, between December 2019 and January 2020, PT Inka will deliver three diesel hydraulic locomotives and 15 coaches and four DMUs.
The contract for the delivery of the new DMUs has a value of EUR 17.3 million and the other contract is valuated at EUR 21.2 million.
For PNR, this is the first time in the last four decades that the company purchased new trains under its budget, after it has received a EUR 56.7 million budget in 2018.
In January, awarded Inka a EUR 8.1 million contract for the acquisition of new DMUs.
