Partnership for Africa’s rail supply chain improvement signed

On June 13th, Unipart Rail and Gear Rail signed a partnership agreement on the development of African railway sector. “Wherever traction and rolling stock or infrastructure are introduced, maintained or improved, the solutions this partnership will deliver will lead to significant value improvements for our customers,” Tony Sackett, Unipart Rail Managing Director for Africa, Asia Pacific & Middle East said.
Bringing together Gear Rail’s reach across the African Continent and Unipart Rail’s expertise in modernising supply chains, the new partnership will be focused on delivering cost improvements, reduced risk and increased performance wherever materials are moved to support the maintenance and development of the railways.
“We have built our relationship over a significant period, learning from each other and bringing new products and services to Africa. We are very excited at this new partnership development,” Roelf Alberts, CEO for Gear Rail said.
