Oversubscription recorded for the 2019 CEF Transport call

Under the 2019 CEF Transport MAP call, the Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA) has received 262 project proposals requesting almost EUR 4.53 billion in total EU funding.

EUR 1.4 billion is the total available budget under this call, which was split into three call texts, depending on the budget (General or Cohesion) allocated for the priorities addressed by the multi-annual work programme (MAP) and the funding form.

The evaluation of the project proposals with the help of external experts has started and it is expected to be concluded by July 2020, when the final results will be announced.

For the pre-identified projects on the Core Network, 180 proposals were submitted with a more than EUR 4 billion funding request. EUR 1.1 billion is the indicative available funding, with EUR 610 million coming from the Cohesion Fund.

10 ERTMS proposals were submitted requesting a EUR 43.5 million funding. The total available budget is EUR 50 million.

With an available budget of EUR 110 million, 38 proposals were sent for actions implementing transport infrastructure in nodes of the core network, including urban nodes, on passenger transport sector. EUR 318.59 million was the requested value of the submitted projects.

The motorways of the sea priority also recorded an increased requested budget totaling EUR 31.1 million, although EUR 30 million is the available budget.
