Northrail has announced the establishment of its new subsidiary Northrail Polska Sp. z o.o., based in Warsaw. The move marks an important milestone in Northrail’s international growth strategy and reinforces the company’s long-term commitment to the Central and Eastern European market.

The new Warsaw office will allow Northrail to respond more effectively to local market needs and the increasing demand for modern, efficient and environmentally friendly rolling stock across Eastern Europe.
“Poland is a strategically important market for us, and we are confident that our expertise and innovative solutions can make a significant contribution to the advancement of rail transport in the region,” said Dr Volker Simmering, Chief Executive Officer of Northrail.
To further support its regional expansion, Aleksandra Jęć joined Northrail’s sales team in March 2025 and now serves as the primary contact for customers and partners in Poland. Leveraging her local market knowledge, she is driving the company’s international business development and strengthening relationships with existing and new clients. Since July, she has also taken responsibility for the Scandinavian market, reporting to Birgit Mazur, Head of Sales Group.
“I am delighted to represent Northrail in these important international markets. Direct communication with our customers in Central and Eastern Europe and Scandinavia is essential to developing sustainable, tailor-made solutions,” said Aleksandra Jęć, Head of Sales International CEE and Scandinavia.
The establishment of Northrail Polska confirms the company’s long-term focus on Poland, one of Europe’s most dynamic rail markets and a key pillar of Northrail’s broader international growth strategy.
