Nippon Express to add China-Europe rail freight connection

04-Nippon ExpressNippon Express will soon add rail freight transport services between China and Europe, offering a complete array of pickup and delivery options between companies in those two regions.
Nippon Express will run two rail services a week from Wuhan (China) to Duisburg (Germany), and one weekly rail service from Duisburg to Chongqing (China). The service will ship goods from multiple merchants in rail containers.
The estimated transport time between the destination points is of 18-21 days. Nippon Express initially expects to attract mainly Japanese manufacturers of cars and precision instruments that operate factories in both China and Europe. The company aims to move 500 rail containers a year.
