NGE signed an agreement to acquire Saceem, which has been approved by Uruguay’s competition authority and with the transaction completion remaining subject to standard precedent conditions.

The acquisition of Saceem would increase NGE Group’s international revenue to EUR 700 million in 2025, representing +78% growth over 12 months on a proforma basis.
Founded in 1951, Saceem, a leading player in Latin America in the fields of construction and concessions in Uruguay, Paraguay, and Peru. In ten years, Saceem has enjoyed sustained growth of +130% since 2015 (approximately 9% average annual growth). Its revenue reached USD 350 million in 2024.
For Saceem, joining NGE represents an opportunity to leverage the investment capacity of a group generating EUR 4.6 billion in revenue in 2024 and present in 20 countries. This combination opens new development prospects, particularly in concessions and enhanced project engineering capabilities.

With this acquisition, NGE reaffirms its ambition to become a key player in Latin America and in addition to NGE’s international expertise in project financing, railways, and hydraulic engineering, the integration of Saceem will consolidate market share for the new entity and provide a comprehensive, integrated multi-expertise offering tailored to the region’s growing infrastructure needs and the expansion of public-private partnership models.
Over the past eight years, the two companies have partnered on several major projects such as the Ferrocarril Central in Uruguay—the largest transport infrastructure project in the country’s history—and in Peru, the reinforcement of the banks of the La Leche and Motupe rivers to protect populations from extreme climate events. These joint achievements, made possible by complementary expertise and activities, highlight the shared ambition to become a trusted partner for governments and private clients in developing infrastructure that supports the ecological transition.
