One of the flagship items – USD100 million will be poured into the Newcastle light rail project.
The New South Wales Government is introducing light rail to Newcastle as part of a strategy to revitalise the Newcastle city centre, boost economic activity and reinforce the city’s role as a 21st century regional centre.
The light rail will travel east from the new Wickham transport interchange along the existing rail corridor, before moving south to connect with Hunter Street and Scott Street and terminating at Pacific Park.
