Netia acquires Polish TK Telekom

TK Telecom-PKP_Mapa-poprawionaNetia said it has completed the conditions for its acquisition of TK Telekom from Polskie Koleje Panstwowe (PKP), following clearance from the antimonopoly authority UOKiK. Netia signed a preliminary agreement in May with Polish railway operator PKP to buy the network operator, telecompaper.com informs. The transaction will expand Netia’s infrastructure footprint and will strengthen the company’s market position in the B2B segment. Netia will pay PLN 221 million (EUR 53 mln) for the acquisition of TK Telekom, financed from its credit lines.
