MTR prepares South Island Line opening

sil-mapMTR Corp is preparing to launch transport services on South Island Line (SIL) in December.
Overall, the SIL project in Hong Kong is over 99% complete with all the tracks, trackside equipment, signalling and other train operation systems being installed and are now under trial operation together with the station facilities.
South Island Line is a medium-capacity railway connecting the current MTR network from Admiralty Station to the Southern District of Hong Kong, via new stations at Ocean Park, Wong Chuk Hang, Lei Tung and South Horizons.
The construction of the South Island Line began in May 2011.
