Moscow prepares another metro extension

Moscow will extend Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya Line (Line 3) to Golyanovo between 2022 and 2023, said the Deputy Moscow Mayor, Marat Khusnullin, explaining that it was a request made by the people living in the area where the station will be built. Golyanovo is a district of Eastern Administrative Okrug of the federal city of Moscow.
“At this stage the station’s specifications are being determined: location, depth and approaches,” said Marat Khusnullin.
Moscow’s most remote districts can now be reached by metro. During the summer in 2018 as many as 7 new stations started operating on the yellow line from Ramenki to Rasskazovka. Belomorskaya station on the Zamoskvoretskaya Line was opened in December.
The Nekrasovskaya Line will be completed soon. It runs from Nizhegorodskaya station to the most remote Moscow district of Nekrasovka. The Nekrasovka-Lukhmanovskaya-Ulitsa Dmitriyevskogo-Kosino section has been dug and installation work has got underway.
In addition, the work on the southern section of the Sokolnicheskaya Line (Line 1) from Salaryevo to Stolbovo will soon be completed. It will have four stations that are in the process of being given the final touches.
