In the terms of industrial cooperation with Research and Production Corporation “United Wagon Company” (RPC UWC), “Mogilev Carriage Works” (MCW, Belarus) has put into service the first batch of freight cars with improved technical and economic characteristics. This is the debut issue of new generation rolling stock built at the enterprises of the Eurasian Economic Union.
The first batch of 50 drop-bottom gondolas with unloading gates of 18-9853 modification equipped with Barber bogies with an axial load of 25 tf, has been sent to the transportation company Vostok1520 (belongs to the holding UWC) and will be utilized in the coal transportation from the Kuznetsk Basin. These freight cars have higher load capacity (up to 75 t), increased repair intervals and service lifetime.
In this year, MCW will supply another 150 units of rolling stock to RPC UWC. In 2015, based on the Belarussian plant production capacity up to 3,500 cars a year, RPC UWC is planning to arrange the sale of a considerable part of the output. It is to be recalled that the partnership agreement between MCW and RPC UWC was signed in November 2013. According to it, “Mogilev Carriage Works” organized freight cars assembly with Barber bogies.
