Minsk Metro and TMH sign train contract

Transmashholding (TMH) and Minsk Metro signed a contract for the supply of 7 four-car trainsets (28 modern metro carriages) that will begin operations after the commissioning of the second section of the Line 3.

The trains will feature a seamless pass-through interior, doors with opening-closing color signals, ergonomic seats, modern passenger information systems, microclimate control, video surveillance, and accessibility zones in end cars. The rolling stock will be equipped with noise and heat insulation and modern asynchronous traction. The exterior will feature a unique design.

They will be manufactured by Metrowagonmash at the plant in Mytishi, in Moscow Oblast.

The contract was signed following a tender, organised by the Minsk City Executive Committee.

On March 16-17 a Belarusian delegation visited TMH plant in Mytishi and the representatives of Minsk City Executive Committee and Minsk Metro got acquainted with the production site, discussed the development of the trains, and signed the contract.

Metrowagonmash cooperated with Minsk Metro since its launch in 1984. Currently, 346 carriages manufactured in Mytishi are operated on its lines.
