LTG Link awards digitalisation contract

planning and dispatch LTG Link, the Lithuanian Railways passenger transport company, selected IVU to deliver the technology for new planning and dispatch system. The German company will supply a complete system IVU.rail based on the SaaS model with hosting in the IVU.cloud.

With the new integrated standard system, LTG Link will plan and dispatch its entire vehicle fleet and personnel in a standardised environment. The efficiency will be achieved thanks not only to fully digital workflows, but also the powerful optimisation cores of IVU.rail, which make it easier for planners to create optimal vehicle and duty schedules. In addition, the IVU.pad mobile app integrates drivers directly in the dispatch process. IVU is supplying the entire system in a software-as-a-service model and so will assume responsibility for operation, hosting and support in the IVU.cloud.

“This system is one of the most important digitalisation projects for the company. It will be used for planning train journeys and staff workload. The system will enable coordination of train schedules and routes, planning and allocation of trains, generation of staff working schedules as well as prompt implementation of any changes required. This solution will allow the company to analyse everyday operations and increase efficiency by taking away the burden of manual activities and excessive paperwork,” Linas Baužys, CEO of LTG Link, said.

The integrated planning and dispatch system will allow LTG Link to analyse and improve its operations and activities and to fully concentrate on the planning and dispatch of railway traffic.

IVU.rail comprises all products of the IVU.suite with special functions for rail transport. The system maps a railway company’s operational processes in their entirety, offering a suitable solution for every task. IVU.rail solution allows railway operators to establish an entirely digital workflow and to integrate all operations from planners to train drivers. Whether the companies use the end-to-end solution or stand-alone products, all data remains in a single system, ensuring efficiency on the rails and in the control centre.
