Kazakhstan for the first time in its history built two new railroads

President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev gave start to new Zhezkazgan-Beineu and Arkalyk-Shubarkol railway lines. “The new railroads will determine the life of several regions and the whole country for the years ahead,” the President stressed.
It took KZT 500 bln (EUR 2 bln) to lay the main trunks.
The new railroads will substantially increase transport potential of trans-Kazakhstan transport corridors running from China to Russia and further to Europe
