Kazakhstan develops cross-border e-commerce

KTZ Express, Huawei International and Ili Baitexing Commercial Trading signed a framework agreement on strategic cooperation for the development of cross-border e-commerce.
Under the agreement, the cross-border e-commerce will be developed using the capabilities of the logistic infrastructure of KTZ Express – Dry Port Altynkol, SEZ Khorgos, transport and logistics centers, airports, including Aktau port.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the organization of an increased number of container trains, from 4 to 10 trains per month, involving the authorized economic operators of the Russian Federation, China and South Korea, as well as the direct sale of transportation services.
Kazakhstan Temir Zholy plans to serve the transit flow coming from the courier services of China and the EU, which will attract more than 1 million tonnes of cargo per year.
