Izmir Metro to launch tender for the development of key performance indicators

??????????The city of Izmir and Izmir Metro intends to engage a consultant to assist the company in developing a set of KPIs (key performance indicators), identifying and elaborating on strategies to further outsource certain activities of the company, and investigating further retail opportunities around major stations of the network.
The overall objective of the Assignment is to identify the areas for possible improvement in order to enhance operating efficiency, to assess together with the company and the city different restructuring options to further advance operational efficiency, provide incentives for efficiency gains and service quality improvements, and to establish minimum service and quality requirements. This will include the establish a robust set of KPIs for measurable improvements in operational efficiency, levels of service and provide options for further operational efficiency of metro stations and explore outsourcing options for non-core activities.
Interested firms or group of firms are hereby invited to submit expressions of interest. The Assignment is expected to start in Q2 2015 with an estimated overall duration of 3 years. Maximum budget available for the assignment is EUR 200,000 (exclusive of VAT).
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is assisting the City to purchase 85 light rail train carriages to be operated by the municipal public transport company, Izmir Metro.
