Italy approves EUR 28 billion for transport infrastructure

Italy’s Interministerial Committee for Economic Planning (CIPE) approved a EUR 28 billion infrastructure funding for FS Italiane on July 24.
For RFI, the 2017-2021 programme was updated, providing an additional EUR 15.4 billion funding, and ANAS, the motorway and primary roads manager, received a EUR 12.5 billion financing.
Through this approval, the implementation FS Italiane new industrial 2019-2023 plan will be ensured.
In May, FS Italiane announced its new industrial plan under which EUR 28 billion will be invested in railway sector and EUR 14 billion for roads.
