Israel Railways receives 43 bids for rail project management

05_israel43 companies have submitted bids in a tender for project management for the Israel Railways. The railway company plans to invest NIS 30 billion (7 billion euros) in development projects over the next five years and for this purpose is seeking to increase the number of management companies from 7 at present to 20. The tender is divided into management of projects of up to NIS 20 million (4.7 million euros), projects of NIS 20-100 million (4.7-23.3 million euros), and projects of over NIS 100 million.
The projects for which the selected bidders will offer management services include construction of railway facilities, sites, stations, upgrading of stations, adding tracks on existing routes, and laying new tracks.
