India to establish a new JV for rail projects

In order to strengthen the rail network development, a new joint venture company with the Ministry of Railways has been formed under the Companies Act. The JV is named “Haryana Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited” (HRIDC). The main aim of the HRIDC is to expedite the railway and infrastructure projects, their implementation and ensure better coordination with the government.
HRIDC has already initiated the process of preparation of feasibility reports for seven new rail projects: 91-km-long Yamunanagar-Chandigarh via Naraingarh and Sadhaura; 104-km-long Delhi-Sohna-Nuh-Ferozpur Zhirka Alwar; 73-km FarukhanagarJhajjar-Charkhi Dadri; 46-km Jind-Hansi; 58-km Bhiwani-Loharu; 66-km Karnal-Yamunanagar and 10-km railway sliding project, Manesar.
