First rail highway launched between Spain and Luxembourg

PrimaVia, a company born of the alliance between PrimaFrio and VIIA, has participated in the inauguration of the rail highway that connects Barcelona with Betembourg. The rail highway connects Spain and northern Europe and marks the start of the Mediterranean Corridor, in addition to offering a combined rail and road service in which the trucks embark directly on the train in an intermodal terminal and are unloaded at their destination where they can continue the road trip.
This is the first rail highway launched by Spain.
The transport company will make a shipment of five daily semi-trailers that will join those already developed by the company to other European destinations, such as the United Kingdom, through the Le Boulou-Calais line through its fleet composed of fifty Hucke Pack trailers, unique in Spain.
Thus, five PrimaVia daily semi-trailers will cross the heart of Europe through the multimodal option.
VIIA is the rail highway operator of the French group SNCF.
