Etihad Rail unveil official uniforms ahead of passenger train launch

Etihad Rail has unveiled the official uniforms that will be worn by staff interacting with passengers ahead of the launch of passenger rail services in the United Arab Emirates. The first passenger trains will connect Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Fujairah during the initial phase of the network.

The uniforms, in gray with red accents, are part of the visual identity of the future passenger service. According to Etihad Rail, they represent the employees who will welcome passengers on board once operations begin.

Adhraa Almansoori, Chief Commercial Officer at Etihad Rail Mobility, said that the unveiling of the uniforms marks an important milestone in the preparations for the introduction of passenger rail service in the United Arab Emirates.

“The unveiling of the official uniforms marks an important milestone on the journey toward introducing passenger rail services in the United Arab Emirates,” said Adhraa Almansoori.

She added that the uniforms are part of the company’s visual identity, but above all represent the people who will become the face of the Etihad Rail experience for thousands of new rail passengers in the coming years.

“Every detail has been carefully designed to reflect the values at the heart of Etihad Rail: safety, professionalism, hospitality, and national pride. As we prepare to welcome passengers on board for the first time, these uniforms contribute to the story of a modern railway built around people, connection, and experience,” said Adhraa Almansoori.

Initial services will connect Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Fujairah

Etihad Rail announced that passenger service will begin this year. In the first phase, trains will connect Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Fujairah, three major hubs in the United Arab Emirates.

This initial route will also include stations in Mohamed bin Zayed City, in Abu Dhabi, and Jumeirah Golf Estates, in Dubai. Work on these stations is underway, with construction teams working to complete the infrastructure needed to launch the service.

Travel times are still being finalized, but Etihad Rail has indicated that passengers could travel between Abu Dhabi and Dubai in 57 minutes, between Abu Dhabi and Fujairah in 105 minutes, and between Dubai and Fujairah in 69 minutes.

Trains traveling at 200 km/h with a capacity of 400 passengers

Etihad Rail’s passenger trains will travel at speeds of approximately 200 km/h and will have a capacity of about 400 passengers. The company estimates that the network could carry approximately 10 million passengers annually.

For the United Arab Emirates, the launch of passenger services represents an important step in the development of a rail alternative to road travel between major urban centers. The Etihad Rail network has so far been associated primarily with freight transport, and the introduction of passenger trains will expand the role of the rail infrastructure in the country’s domestic mobility.
