CPK to issue tenders worth EUR 9.4 billion next year

The indicative value of CPK tenders planned for 2026 is approximately PLN 40 billion (EUR 9.4 billion), Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (CPK) has announced. The largest share, around PLN 20 billion (EUR 4.7 billion), is expected to be launched in the second quarter.

CPK tenders

In Q1 2026, tenders worth PLN 7 billion (EUR 1.65 billion) are scheduled, followed by PLN 3 billion (EUR 706 million) in Q3, and PLN 10 billion (EUR 2.4 billion) in Q4.

Key railway-related projects include the selection of contractors for the Warsaw–Łódź high-speed railway line and the construction of the new railway station, including its platform hall. Tenders will also cover airport-related works and the road network within the eastern and western landside areas.

Looking ahead to 2027, high-value procurement is planned for both railway and airport infrastructure, including:

  • Over PLN 5 billion (EUR 1.2 billion) for major railway construction and design,
  • PLN 3–5 billion (EUR 706 million–1.2 billion) for the railway node project package,
  • Between PLN 1–3 billion (EUR 236–706 million) for critical airport infrastructure such as Airside North and a fuel base with railway unloading front,
  • PLN 500 million–1 billion (EUR 118–236 million) for power infrastructure.

Announcing CPK tenders in advance allows contractors to prepare competitive bids, increases market interest, and enhances transparency.

In 2028, further large-scale tenders are expected across both rail and airport components. These include airside facilities, operational control systems, and multi-storey parking facilities, valued at PLN 500 million–1 billion (EUR 118–236 million).

Ongoing plans for 2025

CPK also plans to initiate several significant procedures this year. In the final quarter of 2025, executive works are set to begin on piling for the terminal building, under a framework agreement covering earthworks, terminal foundations, and the construction of a railway tunnel beneath the airport. The estimated value for these contracts exceeds PLN 10 billion (EUR 2.4 billion).

Additionally, tenders are expected for the first sections of the Warsaw–Łódź high-speed railway, while over PLN 2.2 billion (EUR 518 million) has been allocated for designing and building more than 90 km of roads around the airport, under existing framework agreements.

The total value of tenders planned for 2025 is around PLN 30 billion (EUR 7 billion). By the end of August 2025, CPK had already launched procurement procedures worth approximately PLN 18 billion (EUR 4.3 billion).

Major milestones expected this year include:

  • Finalising the airport location,
  • Signing the HSR tunnel contract,
  • Obtaining environmental permits, and
  • Submitting most location applications for the infrastructure works.

Scheduled to open in 2032, CPK will become Poland’s new central airport, accompanied by a high-speed rail (HSR) network. Strategically located at the heart of Central and Eastern Europe, it is set to become a major global transfer hub.

With optimised flight paths, shorter connection times, and full multimodal integration, CPK will significantly improve travel between Polish cities, European capitals, and international destinations — making journeys faster, more convenient, and better connected than ever before.
