China to invest in railways connecting Europe, Middle Eastern countries and Far East

China has announced plans to invest in railways connecting Europe and the Far East via Middle Eastern countries including Iran, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan. This will give a cheaper alternative to supplying Europe goods by air and a faster alternative to moving goods by sea.
The new project will connect countries including Iran to the rest of the Asian and European continents and significantly boost their economies. Iran, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan have invested heavily in their own railway infrastructures as this possibility takes shape. Iran will be a major railway hub with links to Russia as well as Europe and the Far East with current construction projects underway.
