China-Finland regular container train service launched

RZD Logistics announced regular railway shipments on China-Finland route, with an average delivery time of 14 days.
With a fervency of once in two weeks, the container trains travel from Hefei, in Anhui Province, to Europe, through China, Kazakhstan, Russia and arrive in Finland.
“Finland is an alternative point of entrance to Europe, which is in high demand among European, as well as Chinese consigners. Thus, we count on the increase of transit volumes between China and Finland in both directions. Moreover, the route is developing due to high demand for such shipments in Scandinavian countries. No doubt, regular shipments and stable schedule will become important advantages of the service”, Sales Director of RZD Logistics, Olga Stepanova, said.
The route goes across border points Dostyk-Alashankou, Kartaly, Vainikkala- Buslovskaya to the station Vuosaari in Finland. In future, the service is expected to work on a weekly basis. Average delivery time along the route is 14 days.
With transit service designed for many clients, the container trains are formed according to applications from several consignors, providing each client with opportunity to ship cargo in minimum one container.
The trains transport consumer goods, furniture, electronics and equipment. The service was launched in cooperation with UTLC ERA, Nurminen Logistics and Hefei International Land Port Development Co.
