Centralization blocking system installed at Batumi-Central station

Georgia Railways has completed the construction of the Batumi-Central station and equipped it with modern microprocessor centralization of modern type (MPC), at European standards. The MPC is a functional modern analogue of relay electric centralization (signalling, and centralization blocking system).
In spite of the fact that the Batumi passenger railway station with tracks is not among big stations, the implementation of the system was necessary to carry out large-scale works. On the Batumi –Central station 22 traffic LED lights and 32 sensors were installed.
This is the first time in Georgia when alternative system of track circuit has been introduced.
