Canada: AMT to tender commuter transport services

montrealMontreal Metropolitan Transport Agency (AMT) will not renew the contract with Canadian Pacifique (CP) and Canadian National (CN) on the operation of trains that serve the suburbs. The contract with CN and CP will expire on 1 June 2016. According to AMT, CN and CP are no longer interested in operating on the lines of a new contract. Thus, AMT plans to launch a call for bids to select a new operator. AMT will allocate over USD 68 Million (EUR 48 Million) this year for the exploitation of the six lines.
