Bucharest launched the tender for the purchase of 100 new trams

The total value of the project is estimated at RON 845.68 million (EUR 181.63 million) and the deadline for the submission of the offers is 14 February 2019.
The contract will have a duration of 37 months and will not be divided into lots. The acquisition of trams will be provided by budgetary funds. The winner of the tender will deliver the first tram within nine months, after signing the contract.
The manufacturers submitting the bids will have to have an average annual turnover for the last 3 years (2015, 2016, 2017) of a minimum of RON 280 million lei (EUR 60 million).

The tenderer will provide a list of the main deliveries of products made over the past 3 years, reported to the deadline for submission of bids, showing that they have delivered or supplied products similar to those subject to the acquisition within one or more contracts worth a minimum RON 28 million (EUR 6 million), while indicating the required data and of the public or private beneficiaries.
The new railway vehicles will run on 8 tram lines in Bucharest. They will have an integrated IT system that will include travel, video surveillance, Wi-Fi internet, audio-visual information system for passengers as well as infotainment.
The minimum number of transported passengers will be 220, of which 56, seated. People with disabilities will have two specially arranged places, and their access will be made using ramps or sliding ramps.
Trams must be 36 meters long, with 100% low-floor and five double doors. The contract also includes spare parts, consumables, commissioning services, maintenance, service and troubleshooting during the warranty period. At the same time, the winner of the tender will also ensure the training of the staff who will operate the trams.
