All Bozankaya trams are operating in Kayseri

Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality announced that all 30 trams, produced by the Turkish company Bozankaya are operating in the city. The trams are 100% low-floor, 33 meter long, bi-directional and they were built in Ankara. In 2014, Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality placed a EUR 42 million order for 30 trams. The Kayseri contract marked Bozankaya’s entry into the tram manufacturing market, the company being, until now, known for producing buses.

”In Turkey, there is a growing need for railway system public transport. In this direction, we are developing new vehicle projects with the latest technology and we are investing in new systems”, Bozankaya Production Chairman Aytunç Günay stated.

The tram that Bozankaya has developed offers a high passenger capacity of 392 passengers, of which 66 are seated with spacious interiors. Kayseri also operates a 38 Sirio tram fleet, manufactured by Ansaldo Breda.
