Belgrade awards contract on Ada Bridge’s tram track

The Belgrade Land Development Public Agency has awarded the contract for installing tram tracks on the Ada Bridge to the group of bidders consisting of Energoprojekt Niskogradnja and France’s Colas Rail. The value of the deal is RSD 1.97 billion (approx. EUR 16.4 million). The other two offers were sent by Austria’s Strabag and the group of bidders headed by the Spanish company Copisa.
The Ada Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge over the Sava river. The project envisages construction of two 2.7 km-long tramway tracks on the bridge which will link the Rakovica and New Belgrade neighbourhoods of the Serbian capital.
The completion period is 420 days from the possession of the site. Tram traffic on the Ada Bridge is slated to open in July 2019.
