TMH has sent 10 mainline 2TE25KM freight locomotives to BaltTransServis, one of the largest private operators focusing on rail transport of oil in Russia and neighboring countries. The 2TE25KM locomotives are manufactured at Bryansk Machine Building Plant (BMZ), part of TMH.
The locomotives will be sent to Velikie Luki, where one of the regional offices of BaltTransService is located.
The 2TE25KM diesel locomotive is a mainline freight two-section diesel locomotive with AC/DC electric transmission with by-axle traction force adjustment. 90% of the components integrated into the locomotive construction are local. In comparison with mass series diesel locomotives, 2TE25KM provides for increase of the transported cargo tonnage by average 20% and decrease of operational expenses.
One of the key advantages of the diesel locomotive is its user-friendly operation and maintenance achieved by free access and maintainability of its main components. Transition to new locomotives allows for reduction of maintenance and repair costs.
2TE25KM diesel locomotive is a mainline freight diesel locomotive, the majority of its components being produced domestically.
Advanced technical characteristics of the locomotives, in particular, increased engine capacity ratio, together with favorable value for money ratio ensure for considerable competitive advantages of the diesel locomotive and provide for increase of the transported cargo volume by average 20% and decrease of operational expenses.
