Baku orders 12 additional metro trains

Metrowagonmash and Baku Metro signed a contract for the supply of 12 five-car metro trains of model model 81-765B./766.B.
The delivery will start in 2020, with a final train to be sent to Baku in 2023.
The metro trains will have a new light warning system for doors, which will be larger to enhance passenger flow. They will be equipped with passenger information system, air conditioning and ventilation systems, sockets and are adapted to the passengers with reduced mobility, offering special places for wheelchairs.
In trains 81-765. B / 766. B, a new light warning system is used to open and close doors. The design has good noise and heat insulation; cars are equipped with air conditioning and ventilation systems; sockets for charging passengers’ electronic devices are provided. In compartments of head cars there are places for wheelchairs and bicycles.
At the beginning of this year, the two companies signed a contract for the delivery of 6 new trains with two head motor cars with a control cabin and three intermediate motor cars. Compared with the rolling stock of previous models, the new trains have extended doorways. Free passage through all train is provided.
In addition, last year, Baku Metro received two 5-car trains from Metrowagonmash, and in 2015, another batch of three 5-car trains was supplied to the capital.
The metro trains are manufactured at Mytishchi plant.
