Angers Loire Metropole orders additional Citadis trams

Under a EUR 55 million contract, Alstom will supply Angers Loire Metropole with 20 additional Citadis trams, which will operate on lines B & C from 2022 onwards.
Since 2011, on Angers’ Line A, 17 Citadis trams are providing transport services and with the new ones, the city will have a fleet of 37 Citadis trams.
The Citadis trams for Angers will be 33 metres long, with 6 double doors per side, allowing a capacity of more than 210 passengers. The platform-height floors and double doors facilitate access and passenger boarding at the stations. The trams are designed with large bay windows covering 40% of the tram, LEDs with diffusers for soft even lighting, information system, large seats, air conditioning and a video protection system.
This Citadis tram is particularly energy-efficient and more than 99% recyclable. It is equipped with APS ground-level power supply and is fully interoperable with existing trams and on the 3 lines of the Angers conglomeration.
