Alstom has announced key appointments within its executive team, effective 1 June 2025, as part of efforts to align leadership with business strategy and growth ambitions.
- Andrew DeLeone has been appointed President of the Europe Region, succeeding Gian Luca Erbacci, who will retire after a distinguished career with Alstom spanning more than two decades.
- Martin Vaujour will become President of the AMECA Region (Africa, Middle East and Central Asia), and will join Alstom’s Executive Committee.
“I am very pleased to see Andrew, who has successfully established a strong footprint and commercial momentum in AMECA, take the helm of Europe. His impressive impact on Alstom’s growth is a result of his strong commercial acumen and customer-centric approach, which he will bring to his new role. I would also like to welcome Martin to the Leadership Team. Martin is a recognised leader with a diverse background in general management, stakeholder relations and finance, and will continue the momentum in AMECA, bringing fresh insight to this vital growth region.
Let me also pay tribute to Gian Luca Erbacci, who has held numerous key roles at Alstom since 1998. His leadership has been instrumental in shaping the company’s regional strategies. We thank him for his many contributions and wish him all the best in retirement,” Henri Poupart-Lafarge, CEO of Alstom, said.
Andrew DeLeone has led the AMECA Region at Alstom since January 2021. Before joining Alstom, he was President for Europe, Middle East, Africa & India at Bombardier Transportation. He also held senior leadership roles at General Electric’s Power business, where he built a strong track record in international business development, organisational transformation and services growth. DeLeone has lived and worked in India, Switzerland, South Africa, and the United States. He holds an Economics degree from the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania) and a Master’s in Industrial Relations from Cornell University.
Martin Vaujour has served as Alstom’s Head of M&A and Investor Relations since 2021.
