A new container train from Russia to China

On November 13, for the first time a container train was dispatched from Zibo in Shandong Province at Selyatino station, in Moscow region, which is expected to arrive within 14 days. This is another container train services that Russian Railways is involved, thus expanding its geography of rail transport services on the route to China.
RZD Logistics is the organizer of the last mile activities of the delivery of forty-foot containers with consumer goods, equipment and vehicles to Zibo station by road. 36 containers were reloaded onto the railway.
The train will pass through China, Mongolia and Russia via the Zamyn-Uud and Naushki border crossings before arriving at its final destination, Selyatino station in the Moscow region.
Services along the new route are expected to commence on a regular basis.
The starting point of the new route, the city of Zibo, is a large industrial centre with a developed railway infrastructure, which lends the project great potential.
Shippers in the eastern part of China are increasingly choosing to transport their freight by rail, which ensures high speed deliveries and cargo security.
